Our stay at Villa le Ginepraie was amazing. The villa is spacious for our group of four couples and offers a wonderful view of the Tuscan countryside. Valerio was an attentive host and did a great job suggesting chefs to come cook for us. We enjoyed being close to Volterra and having several full kitchens. The grounds, pool, and villa are very well maintained. I look forward to coming back for another visit!

Le Ginepraie – A Tuscan holiday home from home
Turning on to the drive, I stop the car and, looking down to the house, admire once again the view of Le Ginepraie. This is our sixth visit with family or friends (the first in 2007) and it feels like coming home. It is nearly 50 years since my wife and I first holidayed together and over that time we have never chosen to revisit the same place. Apart from Le Ginepraie. That is how special we think it is. The house is beautiful with a huge amount of space. Well furnished and decorated. The renovation of the swimming pool to offer an infinity view across the bucolic Tuscan landscape is a fabulous change since our last visit. The verandah provides a sheltered space for lunches and that beautiful view across the valley. A solid permanent barbecue has also been added, which, together with the pizza oven, provided most of our evening meals. Valerio, as ever, is the best of hosts. Always available if you require anything but unobtrusive. Being here with our children, their partners and grandchildren was idyllic for all of us. We recommend Le Ginepraie to any group looking to spend time together in a beautiful and peaceful setting.

Villa Le Ginepraie è un posto magico, e avere la fortuna di passerci del tempo è un’esperienza che ti rapisce e ti resta dentro.
Per tanti motivi: (1) la collocazione su una collina, fresca anche nelle giornate più torride, isolata dal mondo ma vicina a tutte le comodità e ai posti più belli della Toscana (da Siena a San Gimignano, da Firenze al mare), (2) la natura circostante, che è rigogliosa e incontaminata, ma nello stesso tempo dolce, accogliente, (3) il meraviglioso casale del 1600, in cui ti sembra di sentire ancora i rumori dei contadini che nei secoli ci hanno vissuto e lavorato, ma che oggi è perfettamente ristrutturato, curato e arredato, e ti offre tutte le comodità.
E poi ci sono la generosità e la vivacità del proprietario Valerio, un personaggio unico: istruttore di yoga, massaggiatore provetto, sempre in movimento e pieno di racconti fantastici. Ma Valerio è soprattutto una Persona con la P maiuscola, che già dopo un’ora senti vicino come un amico.
